Eliot Gibbins is a non-resident research fellow at the Institute for Indo-Pacific Affairs. He holds a PhD in Asia-Pacific Studies from National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan. His research is focused on democratic deconsolidation, nationalism, and social cohesion. Other areas of interest include the international relations and democratic institutions of East Asia, New Zealand, and Australia.
